Hello Again,
I waited all Tuesday, and that durn Wimpy never did show.....Does anyone still "take a powder"?.....The Dodgers are starting to collapse, like I always said they would.....Coronado used to be the hidden gem in any San Diego visit, not anymore.....Everyone's discovered it.....French Toast after midnight is fantastic.....I have a hard time thinking of the rap/hip hop genre as being something long-lasting or meaningful.....I like the Dallas Cowboys' chances for making the post-season.....Three LA-area radio stations, all owned by Clear Channel, are about to change formats, and boy, are some people going to be pissed!.....I was lucky enough to see one of Reggie Jackson's home runs.....I was around 11 at the time.....If your only news source was the LA Times, you would think that Jennifer Capriati was the greatest athlete in the world.....They keep running her picture, no matter what.....Readers have complained, but they keep on doing it.....I find the concept of someone like Jerry Falwell walking around the White House, advising the President on God Knows What to be quite disturbing.....He once proposed bringing back the House Un-American Activities Commitee, which was declared unconstitutional before, and reviving blacklisting, the most shameful thing HUAC ever did.....He once gave a speech at UCLA, and was practically laughed out of Royce Hall.....Los Angeles, like anywhere else, has its problems.....One thing, however, I've always been proud of about LA is that we've always been relatively free of the Religious Right and White Supremecy causes.....If you're an angry Days of Our Lives fan, the ridiculous Shawn-Jan storyline FINALLY ends on Sept. 17.....Long overdue, of course.....A couple of years ago, that same soap had two women characters get pregnant at the same time.....One character had her baby two months before the other did.....It wasn't a premature birth, or any other special circumstance.....Saying what no one will admit: the main reason you ALWAYS see a male & female co-anchor team on your local news is that TV stations don't want any sex discrimination lawsuits filed against them.....Last numbers I read, Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9-11 had grossed $117 million.....Is Disney now regretting its' decision not to distribute the film?.....Not publicly.....You can bet, however, that Michael Eisner has a few more questions to answer to angry board members.
