Hello Again,
Aaron McGruder, creator of the hilarious comic strip "The Boondocks", has it just about right in the strips of the last two weeks.....Kerry's blowing it.....An animated version of "The Boondocks" is being developed by Fox.....I hope it does better than Dilbert did on TV.....Dilbert should have been great, it wasn't.....News item: Heidi Fleiss is closing down her Hollywood Blvd. boutique and plans to open a brothel in Nevada.....Comment: it's legal there.....Federal legislation that directly affects Nevada usually goes through without fuss or fanfare.....I guess a lot of our senators and congressmen are very fond of the Silver State.....I'm sure they have their reasons.....Where are they now? Dept: Dawn Wells, Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island, is running a successful camp for actors in Wyoming.....While I was stopped at a red light Thursday, I could see a fight taking place at an adjacent grade school.....Well-meaning, but misguided mothers have it all wrong when they tell their sons not to fight, no matter what.....If a young boy gets "marked" as someone who won't fight, his playground life will be hell.....In every grade school, no matter where, there are always problem children who take out their frustrations on other children.....They're known as bullies.....Most fights get broken up soon enough.....But even if a boy loses a fight, he gets a reputation as someone who'll fight back, and the other bullies will think at least twice before starting anything with him.....If I'm ever blessed with a child, he or she WILL get kick boxing lessons around age 5.....I've taken lessons, it's well worth it.....Makes me feel a little bit safer.....So far, I've only punched one very overly-grabby guy, in a nightclub.....Bloodied his nose with one punch.....And I hope that's all that ever happens along those lines.....How about what Pat Buchanan is saying these days?.....Whooda thunk it?.....Who is Hoobastank?.....Ask your kids.....I Wanna Be Sedated Dept: RIP Johnny Ramone, 1949-2004.....Hey!
