Heads Up, Harvesters,
I just had to get the previous blog out of my system before I started this one.....Back to our regularly scheduled blog.....The Dodgers just traded away the NL West title.....Probably also the NL Wild Card.....Good thing I'm an Angel fan, even if I have to go 40 miles to see them.....Love those Hittin' Halos.....The Dodger Dog is highly overrated.....Why do Ivy League alums always tell you in their very first sentence where they went to school?.....I miss seeing the name Plymouth on new cars.....A few weeks ago, a couple set up a hot dog stand a few blocks from here.....The dogs were great, and reasonably priced.....Their first night, there was a long line of people.....After the first night, they were gone, and haven't been back.....I guess it was a one night stand.....I ache with the residents of the Echo Park district of LA over the closing of Pioneer Market after 70 years.....It didn't have to happen.....The new Dell ads with the dorm room antics is about as stupid a commercial as I've ever seen.....With all their recent deals, the games between the Philly Eagles and Dallas Cowboys could be barn-burners.....I love the Greek Theatre here in LA.....I predict that Clubhouse, upcoming CBS sitcom debuting this fall, will be a hit.....Reaction to some recent regional headlines: Sorry, but an impovershed 26 year-old woman has no business having six kids from multiple fathers, AND a boyfriend in County Jail.....Besides Sex Ed, schools should be teaching about do's and don'ts before the fact.....If you ask me, that's more critical because it leads to everything else, good or bad.....One reason for football's overwhelming popularity: By the time the season starts, their baseball teams are out of it.....Sunday's (8-1) Pearls Before Swine was hilarious.....If the paper you read doesn't carry it (they should), try Comics.com.....I love piping hot biscuits fresh out of the oven.....Whatever happened to Lee Michaels?.....Another heat wave is headed our way.....Although he's been reduced to Miracle-Gro commercials lately, James Whitmore is an awesome actor.....The hour-long Twilight Zone episode he did was among his most powerful performances.....I'm Anne Alogy, and I approved this blog.
That's -30- for now. Byeee! As Always, Anne Alogy
