Rantings, Raves and Ramblings
Ramblings, rants & raves, of course!

Hello Again,

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.....Blogging is at least a thousand times better than chat rooms.....Whatever my opinion of President Bush may be, I think his father looks much sleazier and more crooked than his son does.....He's always looked like someone who knows something critical to all, and isn't telling, even though we have a right to know.....He did run the CIA.....I'd buy Polar Ice Cap insurance from Richard Nixon before I'd buy a used car from Bush, Sr......The '92 election was my first time voting.....America fired Bush, Sr. that year.....Like father, like son?.....Are you partial to a party in your polly-tickle heart?.....Harry Truman once said that his biggest mistake as President was abolishing the OSS and forming the CIA.....He went to his grave kicking himself over that one.....JFK let it be known that he planned to dismantle the CIA.....Shortly afterwards, he went to Dallas.....Any theory I have is like anyone else's: purely speculative.....If you pray, please do so for my friend and neighbor Dave, who is going through a very difficult time right now.....Long and difficult story.....Gary Hart will never live down Donna Rice.....Donna Rice Hughes will never live down Gary Hart.....Air America will soon be returning to LA airwaves.....I hope they last longer than two weeks this time.....A good sign: more and more cities are passing "Living Wage" laws.....As we all know, many employers just don't get it.....Some pay people like it's still the 1970's.....Making $10 or more an hour shouldn't be a big deal in this day & age.....But in far too many quarters, it is.....I don't care how the Colorado trial comes out, I'm tired of Kobe Bryant's antics.....His attitude also.....The Lakers' biggest mistake was letting Jerry West get away.....He was the brains behind the near-dynasty.....Frank McCourt was doing just fine as new Top Dodger Dog until July 30.....Dodger fans shouldn't make any baseball plans for October.....Unless they include being in Anaheim or San Diego.....Joe Namath deserves a better post-football life than what he's had.....He got dealt some very bad cards.....Especially in the Wife Dept......More American Graffiti is one of the worst sequels to any great movie.....Very disappointing.....Considering the talented people involved, you'd have the right to expect sooo much better.....I'm already sick of political ads on TV, and I'm dreading the next three months.....As for the Olympics, do you like our chances at basketball gold?.....I don't.....I hope I'm wrong.....I think I'll order a pizza tonight.....Pepperoni.....Large.

Enough for now. As Always, Anne Alogy

I'd buy Polar Ice Cap insurance from Richard Nixon before I'd buy a used car from Bush, Sr

im not sure what youd be insuring but its a hilarious line!.

i have a theory about presidential selection you might find interesting.  here's a link (feel free to delete this afterwards..this isnt meant as a self-plug)

as far as the oss/cia goes (i know youve mentioned this previously), you realize its just as difficult to pick all losers as it is winners on any given sunday.  over the past 50 years, the cia has somehow managed a near perfect shutout in reverse.  the closest theyve come to actually accomplishing a mission was teaching the mujahadeen.how to aim those shoulder-launch assault weapons.

just a little memory about Joe Namaath..probably showing my age. I remember when he had a hamburger chain called Broadway Joe's! Great chocolate milk shakes!

*King, great minds must truly think alike! My personal theory on who wins presidential elections has been that the candidate who is easier for comedians to imitate always wins. That made Bill Clinton a two-time, two-timing shoo-in! Thanks for the link!

Isn't everybody insured for the Polar Ice Caps melting? I also have coverage for poltergeists, ostriches, tse tse flies and new Scott Baio sitcoms!

*KellyW, I wonder if his Batchelor's III restaurant was successful? It couldn't have been worse than the Waverly Wonders sitcom. It's not his fault, but he should be a bigger icon than what he is now. Unlike many former athletes we could both name, he's actually lived a pretty clean life, at least comparitively speaking. I would certainly buy something Broadway Joe endorses before I'd buy something Frank Gifford hawks.
