Hello Again,
I thought that the outfits the US delegation wore in the Olympic opening ceremonies left something to be desired.....Most of the other nations had men in coats & ties.....Women in blazers or fashionable outfits.....Our athletes looked like they were fresh out of a rap or hip hop video shoot.....Seeing that thug Allen Iverson didn't help.....The Italian softball uniforms are very stylish, I like them.....Just why does Madonna want to be called Esther?.....My thoughts are with the state of Florida this morning, hang in there.....Is Soupy Sales still around?.....Trout farms seem like they would be an excellent investment.....At 2:58 am, PDT, it's 85ยบ in Palm Springs.....The Sun is a 2-1 favorite to rise in the East later this morning.....My friend Lorna is an actress.....Her boyfriend, an account executive, used a great line when they first met....."Wanna practice your love scenes?".....Over 80 radio stations can be heard in LA.....Only one of them is Country.....The Nazi Party is outlawed in Germany.....They kinda have a good reason for that.....I can't stand it when a production of any kind, movie, tv show, commercial, whatever, overloads with jump cuts.....They'll show you something for a second or two, and jump to another scene for a second or two.....Your mind doesn't have time to absorb the scene.....Personally, I think that Joan Baez used the anti-war movement in the 60's to sell records.....Locally, the nightly newscast on our Channel 13 is an embarrassment to journalism.....They dress the anchorwoman like a street floozie.....Most of the story lead-ins & teasers are double-entendres.....Channel 13 is owned by News Corp, parent company of Fox.....The San Luis Obispo area is worth a trip to California.....Nearby Pismo Beach & Morro Bay are stunningly beautiful beyond description.....Hearst Castle, always majestically awesome, isn't far away.....The scenery rivals anything in the world.....That was not a paid announcement.....Just the truth.....The most surprising sports story in these parts is the good play of the Dodgers.....No one expected it.....The late Jimmy Cannon said that "In the department store of life, sports is the Toy Department."
Thank you for reading. 'Til next time, As Always, Anne Alogy
