Hello Again,

You know that day destroys the night.....Night divides the day.....If I hear one more "clever" anchorperson, weather nerd or DJ call Wednesday "Hump Day", I'm going to scream!.....What has gotten into the Cleveland Indians?.....Great article in the latest Rolling Stone about Clear Channel and their stranglehold on radio and concert promotions.....The Athens Olympics are creating the least amount of buzz locally that I can remember.....Ruth isn't terribly bright, either.....Who's Ruth?.....If your kid isn't going to school in the LA Unified district, be very glad, it's a mess!.....I wonder what Christian Science Church founder Mary Baker Eddy died of in 1910?.....Tom Cruise is a great actor.....Are there still tent revival meetings?.....I'll bet Las Vegas was a lot more fun during the heyday of the Rat Pack.....Certainly not as expensive as it is now.....My cousin, just back from vacationing in Colorado, brought me back a Colorado Sky Sox hat, I love it!.....One of my favorite minor league team names is the Long Island Ducks.....Don't forget the Albuquerque Isotopes, named in honor of the Simpsons.....Does Stone Cold Steve Austin ever learn?.....He's in trouble again.....Does Unity (a religion) still have The Daily Word?.....Not to be confused with the Unitarian Church.....Richard Nixon's home town, Whittier, in Southern L.A. County, is filled with Quakers.....His Alma Mater, Whittier College, calls their teams the Poets.....The town of Loma Linda, about an hour or so East of LA off I-10, is predominently Seventh Day Adventists.....Since everything's closed on Saturday, the SDA Sabbath, they get mail delivery on Sunday.....SDAs don't drink, smoke, eat meat, dance, or wear jewelry.....You can't tell if an SDA is married or not.....Right between Loma Linda & Redlands off I-10 is a giant grain elevator.....Why?.....Very little, if any, agriculture in that area anymore.....The prosecution's case against Kobe Bryant is a cookie-crumbling in progress.....Why would any DA be against DNA testing?.....You want to be sure you got the right guy, especially in a death penalty case.....Or are anti-DNA DAs more worried about their careers?.....Has Joe Scarborough ever explained the dead woman found in his office when he was a Florida Congressman?.....A man recently committed suicide because Bjork wasn't answering his letters.....That's right, Bjork.....Always remember: Mets spelled backwards is stem.

Thank you for reading. As Always, Anne Alogy

*King, I guess what I really wondered is if Mrs. Eddy actually practiced what she preached, or did she seek medical treatment at any time?
Mr. Nixon was a member of the Friends (Quakers official name) denomination. I guess Friends Oats didn't sound so good. Could you have a sitcom called Quakers? The possibilities are mind-boggling!

*King, she could qualify for being who Ruth is. What she's done to KCRW is shameful. I'm not sure I've heard as many horror stories about anyone as I have about her. Yet, she goes on and on and on...
