It's hot in LA this weekend.....I guess other parts of the country are worse off than just heat, so I shouldn't complain.....Nothing empties a night club here quicker than Andy Dick entering one.....Wherever he goes, trouble follows.....He's banned from several.....I've seen Monica Lewinsky around town several times.....All she needs is an apple in her mouth.....Otherwise, she goes around town pretty much unnoticed, much to her chagrin.....The show biz aspirations of Fawn Hall & Donna Rice died here, just as Moni's will.....She's trying to capitalize on giving the most famous blow job in history.....Linda Lovelace never got rich from hers.....Sorry, Moni, the town just won't swallow it.....And Bill Clinton is revered in LA.....Quite rightly.....The NFL needs to adopt the overtime rule that college football has.....The Sudden Death rule gives an unfair advantage to the team who wins the overtime coin toss.....Ties at all levels of football should be abolished once and for all.....The way Notre Dame coach Ara Parseghian benefitted from a tie in 1966 was obscene.....Score from Saturday: Regina Salve 35, Husson 28.....There's a joke there somewhere, but damned if I can find it.....It doesn't make sense to me that they make 11 and 12-year olds go through a lengthy playoff system in Little League.....Most of the world gets involved in it.....But college football won't make 18-22-year olds go through a few weeks of playoffs.....Sunday's LA Daily News reports that the Chevron-Texaco Corp. paid for Gov. Arnold's flight and accommodations to New York.....He said that he wouldn't accept gifts from special interests.....Before anybody says "Prove it", look at the first five words two lines ago.....Does Rush Limbaugh have any credibility left?.....Apparently, he doesn't with his soon-to-be third ex-wife.....Come to think of it, he's never had any credibility with me.....When I first voted in November, 1992, I heard him say on my car radio on my way to the polls that Bush was a shoo-in.....And that the Democrats had had their last 20th Century President in Jimmy Carter.....I had class the same time, next day, so I didn't get to hear what he said the day after.....John Mackey, head of the Urban League, is a former All-Pro Tight End with the Baltimore Colts, and a Hall of Famer.....In an NFL Films production about Super Bowl III, in which he played, He made a memorable quote.....He said "If you think you've got a game won before it's played, you've got a problem.....We had a BIG problem!".....January 12, 1969: Jets 16, Colts 7.....Colts were an 18-point favorite.....What does it all mean?.....It reminds me of conservatives in November, 1992.....Take nothing for granted.....And never say "Bite Me!" to a crocodile!
